You must be using, or at least heard of, one of the most popular applications in the world named WhatsApp. Now, this is a social messaging application which means that you use this app to send and receive messages. Since the working of this application is very smooth, it is regarded as one of the best out there in the market. Also, what makes WhatsApp even more interesting is that it is one of the rare apps which does not have ads inside it. In today’s age where every app and service is marred by ads, WhatsApp is one of the shining stones. However, Facebook owns WhatsApp which it acquired back in 2014 and we know that ads will come at some point in the future for sure.
One thing that is not so great about WhatsApp, however, is its design. We have seen that its competitors have been able to offer a lot more features while WhatsApp is usually slow in rolling them out. One of the most cherished features right now is Dark mode which is nothing but making the text white and background black or close to black so that users can enjoy the application even at night without straining their eyes. All of Facebook’s applications barring its main app and WhatsApp are currently left out of getting a full Dark mode.
However, a new report from XDA-Developers now shows off what could be the first look at Dark Mode for WhatsApp users. While this is not a proper dark mode, this is what we are getting at the moment. Also, it looks very similar to the Dark mode currently available on the Twitter app for Android users. Currently, this dark mode was seen in WhatsApp’s beta version which means that the company is testing it and the rollout might happen sometime soon.
