Jofra Archer the new Yorker specialist of the England team bowled only 35 overs in the entire test match against India.
Situation in the test against India
He might miss the T20 series with India because of his elbow injury. In the test matches the effect of his elbow injury is shown the bowler who always bowl at a speed of 145+ all time, but in the test matches there are very few balls which are 140+.
Many of the balls he bowled is below 130. So you can easily understand the effect of his elbow injury.
Where he got this injury
This issue which first came at a series against South Africa in 2020 at Cape Town, for which he was also not available for the last test against India in Ahmedabad.
In 2020 while playing against South Africa he got this is elbow injury, and after diagnosis, it was known that he has a stress fracture. At that time head coach Chris Silverwood said that for now, he will not do any surgery, he will discuss it with England and Wales Cricket Board’s medical team.
Reaction of England’s coach
Head coach Silver wood also said that he will keep in a monetization before taking any decision and after monitoring him it will be decided that will he play the T20 series against India or not.
Personally, the head coach wants him to play all formats of cricket and have to be fit all the time, and have more career in the red-ball format. He was not good in the entire test series against India just 35.1 over of bowling and some in the third test.
Availability of T20 series against India
Now he is practicing for the limited over cricket with the white ball, if he does well in the net he will play for England, but if till now he has a problem with his elbow injury then it is not possible for him to play the T20 series against India.
But Silver wood wants him to play it for them because of his economical bowling ability and the right placement of the Yorkers, and Yorkers is the most important ball in the T20 format. So you will know it while England’s T20 team will announce it by them.
