Chef Vikas Khanna and Neena Gupta’s Film “The Last Colour” Gets Nominated for The Oscars

Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna and Neena Gupta’s film titled The Last Colour gets nominated for the Oscars in the category of the best feature film.

The Last Colour is an Indian feature film that addresses an old age taboo surrounding widows in Vrindavan and Varanasi in India. It deals with how a 9-year-old tightrope walker befriends one such widow and promises to add colour to her life.

The Last Colour has actors like Rajeshwar Khanna, Aslam Sheikh and actresses like Neena Gupta, Neha Garg, Aqsa Siddiqui, Princy Sudhakaran and Rudrani Chettri.

The movie has made it to the list of best feature films by The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Oscar).

Vikas Khanna shares his happiness by writing “Being a Michelin star chef, no one takes risks like this. To start something so new in creative field….. but some inner voice made me do it.”

He wrote the story-screenplay-scenes-concept-characters-music-novel of The Last Colour. He also says, “My heart believes that this movie was made through me for some cosmic cause.” He thanked Neena Gupta for believing in her story.

The film won two awards- Audience Award and Director’s Vision Award at the 16th Indisches Film Festival Stuttgart 2019. The movie has an awesome rating of 8.5/10 on IMDb and 3/10 on Cinestan.
