Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch

We have known that Apple is going to refresh its MacBook lineup of laptops this year with a new variant as well as upgraded internals on the previous models. One of the most interesting things about the new MacBook is that it will come in 16-inch display size. However, reports have mentioned that it will be the same size as the current 15-inch MacBook Pro. This tells us that the MacBook Pro 16-inch will have reduced bezels to fit a larger display inside the current chassis.

Now, a new detail has emerged out of the blue from MacRumors for MacBook Pro 16-inch which might hint at a larger battery on the laptop as well as the availability of faster charging. As per the report, Apple might include support for 96W USB Type-C charging on the latest MacBook Pro. Currently, the MacBook Pro 13-inch supports 61W charging while the larger 15-inch MacBook Pro supports 87W fast charging support. Now, both of these laptops already support USB Type-C charging so that is not something new.

It is also expected that Apple will refresh its entire lineup along with the newer laptops with Intel’s Coffee Lake-H mobile processor series. This means that the latest MacBook Pro and Air devices are expected to be powered by Intel’s 10th generation CPUs. Regarding the faster charging for Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch, we get this information thanks to a leaked photo of the device’s charger. It shows that the adapter comes with model number A2166 and Apple’s Pro Display XDR also supports 96W USB pass-through charging. While these are mere speculations, what is also reported is that Apple’s 16-inch MacBook Pro will have scissor-switch keyboard instead of the current butterfly keyboards which are so faulty that Apple has launched a global repair program for each and every MacBook with butterfly keyboard that it sells till date.
